Demystify the publishing process with SaskBooks, the provincial publishing association. In this workshop and seminar, we will cover the process a book takes from manuscript submission to final sale. Covering topics like how to find a publisher to best practices for self-publishing, participants will get one-on-one time with publishing professionals and with publishers themselves at an afternoon panel. Jillian Bell, Director of Marketing and Finance at SaskBooks will make a presentation in the morning that covers the publishing industry, how manuscript acquisition works, and the things you need to think about when you self-publish. The afternoon session features a panel of Saskatchewan publishers (Serimuse Books, JackPine Press, and McKenzie Carver & Associates) who will talk about their successes and their challenges.
